Founder · Educational Director · Creator of the Brain Ready Method™
Jenny Hansen
Jenny Hansen brings over a decade of richly varied teaching experience spanning international and American classrooms. With a master’s degree in Special Education and extensive knowledge of child psychology and development, she has devoted her career to understanding how children think, communicate, regulate emotions, build relationships, and learn.
Throughout her career, Jenny has designed meaningful learning experiences, shared her expertise with fellow educators, listened closely to families, and built lasting connections grounded in trust and commitment. Her work in multicultural classrooms strengthened her understanding that excellent education must respond thoughtfully to each child’s development, identity, abilities, emotional needs, and individual way of learning.
During her career in Singapore, Jenny served with PCF Sparkletots, Singapore’s largest preschool operator, where she received a Service Excellence Award. Her work in the United States further deepened her expertise in inclusive education, individualized instruction, emotional regulation, sensory responsive practices, and family collaboration. In 2025 to 2026, she was recognized as a Gold Star Teacher in Black Hawk County. This honor inspired the name Gold Star Preschool.
From these experiences, one guiding principle emerged: children learn best when they feel safe, connected, respected, and understood, with the predictability and sensory support they need to participate confidently. This principle became the heart of Gold Star Preschool and the foundation of the Brain Ready Method™.
“I do not ask every child to shine in the same way. I create the conditions in which each child can discover how they shine.”
